'Replenish' indicative of prior undisclosed inhabitants. 'Subdue' the foundation of scientific study. Man was to rule the earth. Adam had dominion as Christ had dominion over the earth. Man was a vegetarian at first. No attempt to prove the existence of God. Genesis denies polytheism, the eternity of matter, pantheism, fatalism. Order, Progress, Promptness, Perfection features of Genesis. The procedure of revelation, from the obtuse to the acute. |
