A Good Restaurant

Hi......one very good place for Mexican food is called Paulina's. It's not exactly on the 'main drag' so it's easy to miss. It's owned by a lady and named for her daughter, Paulina. Paulina is the waitress there and is just delightful. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is 'comfortable eclectic'. Paulina's is located in a small plaza, just off Bear Valley Rd. and one block east of Mariposa. A good landmark is the Victorville bowling alley. It's behind that, but a little ways down. It's tucked in the corner of the plaza. Give it a try. I think you'll be glad you did. We're going back down there tomorrow for our home inspection for a house we just bought. No doubt, we will eat dinner there !
An equally good 2nd choice is El Tio Pepe's in the out-parcel of the mall. You can see it from the 15 and Bear Valley Rd.

SOS! I need the name of a restaurant we stopped at last year on our way through Victorville. It is on a corner and is done in a 50's style. Seems like the name was a person's name, you know like Jane's, Rays, etc.
They had really good home style food at reasonable prices. Pie ala mode, etc. Yummm!
We remember it being on the west side of the freeway, and near Palmdale Rd.
